ABOUT THE JOB
This position is located at the Navy Operated Air Mobility Command Air Terminal (N43A) Naval Support Activity III, Manama, Bahrain
and serves as a Passenger Service Representative, and performing all related passenger functions. Incumbent is responsible for DoD
flight processes and provides travel assistance to all DoD sponsored travelers processing through the Air Terminal to CONUS and
OCONUS locations. Provides information and guidance to travelers based on a broad knowledge of applicable rules and regulations.
Emphasizing travel restrictions of dependents when and as applicable, pet movements, excess baggage, and space available travel.
Confirms the validity and correctness of passenger travel documentation presented and ensures passengers have the required border
clearance documents to travel on DoD sponsored aircraft. Incumbent is responsible for initiating, receiving and distributing pre-
manifests, final manifests, boarding manifests and updating the Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) as flights are
being processed. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring information and or assistance required by travelers transiting the terminal is
timely and accurate. Will respond to various types of passenger inquiries including local area conveniences available and base support
customer services, billeting, food options, medical services, and ground transportation options. Responsible for performing passenger
movement and functions that require the use of different and unrelated processes and methods. Reviews changes to all applicable
regulations, directives, polices, and higher headquarters procedures to keep abreast with the ever-changing airlift concept of
transportation. Keeps shift-lead and co-workers aware of changes as they occur, or consults with shift-lead for unusual circumstances
presented for travel. Escort passengers to/from the passenger Terminal from/ to the aircraft and will use a GOV in the performance
of these duties when deemed necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.

BG-07: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year equivalent to at least BG-06. AND/ OR EDUCATION: 4 years above high school.
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform
successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable,
specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the Occupation
in the organization, including the below:
1. Providing guidance to travelers regarding passport, visa, customs and immigration requirements, and;
2 Coordinating with transportation office for passenger and pet bookings, and;
3. Reviewing policies and regulations changes related to air transportations to keep it updated, and;
4. Determining eligibility of space-required and space available passengers desiring travel on DoD flights.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Applicant must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently.
Applicant must be 18 years of age at the time of application.
Applicants other than Bahraini/Arab Nationals must be registered in LMRA.
Applicants whose sponsors are exempted from LMRA should provide valid proof of exemption.
A Current Good Conduct Certificate dated within 3 months of this announcement will be requested at the time of Job Offer.
PASSPORT MUST BE VALID FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS AT APPLICATION RECEIPT DATE.
VISA AND CPR MUST BE VALID FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS AT APPLICATION RECEIPT DATE.
The work requires some physical exertion such as prolong periods of standing at the passenger service counter and/ or
departure gate and walking to/ from the airfield and terminal building. Lifting and carrying of passenger baggage items and
pet containers weighting 5Ibs 75 Ibs is normal as well as maneuvering around cargo aircraft, bending and climbing up/ down
passenger boarding ladders.
Incumbent will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment when working on the airfield.
BAHRAIN DRIVER’S LICENSE MUST BE VALID FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS AND MUST HAVE BEEN ISSUED 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO
EMPLOYMENT AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
